Still Alive.

I am still here and kicking. I am in NJ for my sister's shower and I decided to stay a week to visit with her. Surprisingly the trip went very well, both girls were great. 10 hours in the car and neither one fussed or got too antsy or cried and screamed. I was so afraid that the baby wouldn't be able to handle being stuck in the seat for that long but she was wonderful. The shower was great. My sister got a ton of stuff. We needed 3 trucks to bring it all back to her house! She is supposed to be on strict bed rest and I keep making her lay down and rest and trying to help do stuff for her. But understandably so she is a lot like me as far as wanting to do her own stuff and do it her way. So I am trying to help her as much as I can. I finished the blue bear cuddle toy but I gave it to City Side Yarn to display. My lime green and turquoise came in just as I was leaving so I got those and I managed to get a turquoise cat finished before the shower and now I am making a lime green bunny for her too.

Karyn thank you I got your post card just before I left and as soon as I get back I will put pictures up for everyone to see. It was very pretty. If I can't get to a computer to update until I get back, I will be home by Sunday. More to come and lots of pics soon!

I am still here I have been super busy this week and I have been sick as well. Lots of projects going on the cuddle toys, the jovi baby sweater, a topiary made of baby socks and washclothes, the purple and white washcloths and a 4year old and 4 month old who are both sick as well. Plus I had to have work done on both cars and I am getting ready to go to NJ for a week or so for my sister's baby shower and to visit. Lots of fun I am trying to get this done and work on my pink project spectrum stuff and make the post card for the swap. I almost have it done to my liking hopefully I can get that out saturday or so. Sorry it is taking so long Karyn!! This is the first cuddle toy I tried when i got the pattern I used Cotton Fleece in Putty. It came out cute but I wasn't happy with the face. I did not know how to do the stitches it called for to do the face. Chain Sts., French knots, and straight stitches. So I went to City Side today and they were so nice and showed me how to do them so the blue one will come out much better. I am still not that good at the duplicate sts but I am getting there and I do like the blue one better thus far. More tomorrow off to bed for now I have to have my car in the shop at 8 tomorrow for a recall and alignment, plus I have to have Keats to school at 8. Huh, lets see how that works out for me. hubby has offered me a back rub (can't pass that up) gotta go. Posted by Picasa

Art Yarn's Supermerino in pinks and purples to make a pair of socks for myself, also a project spectrum pink project. I am taking this to NJ with me next week for my sister's shower. We are leaving on St Patty's day and I am going to stay a week and visit with my family so I need something easy to work on. Posted by Picasa

It's the start of March Project Spectrum go red and pink. Yeah!! Posted by Picasa

Since March is Red/Pink month and today is the first of the month I figured to slowly progress into it I would show you the red heart in my tattoo. Color in life is very important to me and I cherish all colors and they all have different meanings and importance to me. I did a lot of reasearch before I got this tattoo which was my first at 19. I loved the pattern but I did not want all the hearts red like the pictures showed. So when I finally decided to get inked I asked the artist if he could make the hearts different colors. Of course it cost me more but he would do what ever I wanted if I was willing to pay. So came about my tat. Every heart is a differnt color and every heart and color represent a differnt part or person in my life. When I was in college we had an assignment to write an article on color in life and I chose this topic and explained it in detail. My teacher loved it so much she submitted it to a mag for publication and it was accepted. Cool Tat to writer. Who woud've thought? This particular heart is the only wavy one and the only red one. It symbolizes to me that true love is not perfect and should be fire and passion and constantly moving and changing to adapt to the needs at the moment. It shoulld be hot, it should be painful (which ironically this was the most painful part of this tat) This heart is for all the love I have had and all the love I will continue to have for everyone in my life. Posted by Picasa
